Investment Office President A. Burak Dağlıoğlu paid a visit to Qatar with his delegation in the last week of March.
President Dağlıoğlu first took part in the 20th Edition of Doha Forum on March 27. “Financing technology startups has become a key driver of FDI inflows to many countries, especially emerging markets,” Dağlıoğlu noted on “The Future of Foreign Direct Investment in the Post-Covid Era” Panel.
During his visit, Dağlıoğlu held a meeting with H.E. Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar International Islamic Bank and discussed investment opportunities in order to strengthen cooperation between the business communities in Türkiye and Qatar.
Before his visit to Doha, Dağlıoğlu also attended a virtual webinar organized by the Qatar Chamber entitled “Türkiye’s Investment Ecosystem: Investment Opportunities in Technology and Tourism Sectors in Türkiye.” The webinar, which was attended by Türkiye’s Ambassador to Qatar Dr. M. Mustafa Göksu, Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, and several leading business executives from both countries, focused on ways to improve bilateral cooperation in the tourism and technology industries. In his speech, Dağlıoğlu invited Qatari investors to Türkiye and acknowledged the numerous attractive incentives and facilities in all sectors of the country.
